Resilient, Intentional and good listener. My friends often describe me as a resilient problem-solver who doesn't shy away from challenges. They appreciate my intentional approach noting how I carefully consider every aspect both work and relationships. Above all, they value my ability to be a good listener, a quality that not only strengthens our friendships but also enables me to create experiences that resonate deeply with people's needs.
My design journey began with a challenge: convincing my parents to support my passion to study visual design in a culture that favored traditional career paths like engineering or medicine. A year of determination led to their acceptance, and now, two design degrees later, my parents's and my brothers smiling faces and the fact that they trusted me with my career decisions keep me going during tough times.
Hiking, painting, biking and spending quality time with my friends and family.
Specifically hiking is a lot like design. High altitude hiking is an enduring process similar to the pain points during user journey. Additionally hiking involves teamwork and collaboration or you can get lost on a mountain, similarly those principles are also applicable for rallying up teams ensuring a successful outcomes. So in a lot of ways hiking is simillar to design.
I started volunteering during Covid pandemic for tech non profit based in the US but I was in India at the time. I learned managing timelines, collaboration, delivered design and storyboarding suggestions for their patient facing app.
During graduate school, I worked for a food pantry assiting the pantry with storing inventory and also answering clients questions. I myself was dependent on the pantry at the time and could empathise with the clients.
I am aware that resources are not share equitably in the world, I try to connect opportunites where there is a deficit through my little means.
